Farewell, the second...

In spring 2019, Alfio Maccarone was looking for a new job. An acquaintance of his, who had been working at DPL for a long time, recommended DPL to him. He then spontaneously introduced himself there, at that time still in the office in Duisburg. One of the first people he met was branch manager Semir Sekic. He hired him and was able to offer him a job at one of the largest chemical plants in the Ruhr region. Just around the corner and planned for the long term.

Alfio was extremely satisfied from day one and, with very few exceptions, he has always been involved in assignments at chemical plants - even on a long-term basis.

One year after being hired, in the summer of 2020, he left DPL, but was made redundant by his new employer and started again at DPL in the summer of 2021: " I've never experienced a service like that at DPL, where problems are taken care of and the dispatchers are always ready to listen. That's great!"

Before joining DPL, Alfio worked as a grinder at Thyssen, one of the largest steelworks in Europe. Certainly incredibly exciting, but also very anonymous: "Thyssen is a huge company, it's not as familiar as at DPL".

Unfortunately, Alfio has been struggling with health problems in recent months and has therefore decided to retrain: "Unfortunately, I can no longer do the job I used to do. But I've always enjoyed my job. At DPL, I always had fixed construction sites and planning security, I felt I was in good hands."

He can also pass this on to all job seekers.
