Finally feeling at home thanks to a permanent building site

Before Adnan Husic signed his employment contract with us, he was on assignment all over Europe. The apartment he had rented in Duisburg remained unoccupied for several months. Due to the numerous construction site changes, he had no opportunity to settle in.

However, as he kept getting into trouble because he is not a European citizen, he decided to finally settle down. He looked for a job in Germany that would offer him a long-term, nearby place of work.

This opportunity was offered to him by branch manager Semir Sekic, who called him on the basis of his convincing application. It took less than a week from the first interview to the decision to start with us, and his first day at work was just two weeks after signing the contract.

"I had a good feeling about DPL right from the start. Everyone was very nice and always listened and took care of everything. When I wasn't mobile in the meantime, DPL spoke directly to the customer and it wasn't a problem that he started a little later. When Semir wasn't there, the others also took care of my concerns."

As Adnan had requested, we sent him on a long-term assignment from the outset, working in the field of electrical installation. He built cable platforms, pulled cables, installed lighting and maintained and serviced systems. He was never afraid of a little dirt and noise on the construction site.

"I particularly liked the fact that DPL kept all its promises. I was promised permanent construction sites in Duisburg and I got them right from the start. Even when one came to an unexpected end, I was able to be assigned to another one at short notice."

Adnan's family lives partly in Bosnia and partly in southern Germany. In order to be able to visit them regularly, he needed a few days off from time to time.

"I saw that colleagues from other temporary employment agencies only had very few vacation days. At DPL, I was lucky enough to be able to take some overtime at short notice in addition to my regular vacation days. All I had to do was make a quick call."

We helped Adnan wherever we could, supported him in extending his residence permit and applying for a loan, for which Adnan is very grateful.

After almost a year with us, Adnan has now decided to leave Duisburg and move to southern Germany to be with his family. He has already worked there on one of his previous assembly assignments and has now been offered a contract.

During his time with us, he was able to develop his skills and find the right job in southern Germany.
