Temporary work out of conviction

Holger Wolf has been part of DPL Professionals GmbH for a decade! During this time, he has embarked on a fascinating journey through the world of work, characterized by exciting assignments and diverse experiences. Despite repeated offers of employment, Holger has made a conscious decision to stay in temporary work.

His most recent assignment took him to a meat factory, where he put his skills in operating technology to the test. In this highly automated environment, which runs around the clock, his skills are in demand when it comes to maintaining and, if necessary, repairing everything from the large saw to the extraction system and the knife sharpener.

"I am particularly fascinated by working at huge industrial plants such as the coke ovens at the Bottrop coking plant. I worked there right next to the old Prosper Haniel colliery." These places are not only technical masterpieces, but also part of Germany's industrial history.

Despite the sometimes unpleasant experiences during his assignments, Holger's calm manner and reliability have enabled him to gather a large circle of colleagues around him with whom he has remained close. The exchange with his current and former colleagues is an important source of support for him.

His journey at DPL began with a few rotating assignments, but quickly developed into long-term engagements after proving himself with his skills and work ethic. "I'm actually a trained heating engineer, but later retrained as a cutting machine operator to broaden my career options."

For Holger, temporary work is more than just a job - it's a way of life. "I appreciate the diversity of the people I meet, the varied work and, above all, the security of not being dependent on a single company." In between, he has also gained international experience, including short assembly jobs in the Netherlands and Austria.

While he is looking forward to spending a few days with his family in Berlin, Holger is ready for the next adventures that temporary work has in store for him. Because for him, life is a journey, and the variety of work is an essential part of that journey.
